My Wild Thing Turns 1!

I can't believe that my baby boy is 1! We had so much fun celebrating! On his actual birthday (September 29th) Jon took the day off of work and we went as a family to Huber's Farm. It was so much fun! We ate some delicious country cookin' and then went to the pumpkin patch to let Anderson pick our family pumpkin! We walked around and took a ton of pictures and really did let Anderson pick! He walked about 20 steps right up to the pumpkin we got and started tapping it! It was the perfect pumpkin. We had a great day together.

We celebrated Anderson's birthday with all of our family and friends on Saturday (Oct. 1). We had a "Where the Wild Things Are" Themed party! Jon even built a boat for the kiddos to play in! We had delicious BBQ from Mark's Feed Store, Baked Beans, Mac and Cheese, and Green Beans, sweet tea, lemonade, and a delicious cake made by Adrienne & Co Bakery. It was the cutest birthday cake I had ever seen! I showed Adrienne a picture of what I wanted and it was even better! Anderson had such a fun time at his party and was in such a good mood the entire time! He loved playing with his friends, and he totally LOVED his cake - the first thing he did was to pick all the white dots made of icing off and eat them before he realized the good stuff was inside the icing! It was so cute! He made a huge mess and loved it. He also got such sweet presents! We are so thankful for all of the people to love on our little man! We are so blessed!

Anderson's GiGi (Jon's mom) got to join us in town for all the festivities! She got here on Friday and left this morning. We got to do tons of fun things like go to the zoo, play outside with all of our new toys, Jon and I got to go on a date, and GiGi got Anderson a ton of new clothes! We miss all of our family in Florida and were so glad to have a taste of the sunshine state for the weekend! We can't wait to visit everyone in Florida in December!

We are so thankful for the past year we have gotten to spend with our little Anderson man! The Lord has brought so much joy to our family with him! He makes us laugh all the time - and he loves to make us laugh! If you laugh at something he does (a funny face he makes or a word he says) he will repeat it over ad over - it is too funny! He is walking now more than crawling - in fact he has almost given us crawling completely at this point. He must have felt like a big boy on his birthday because that was the day that we transitioned to more walking than crawling! He says tons of words - momma, dad, dog, duck, uh-oh, GiGi, Brrrrmmm, that, yea, all done, and some others. He is eating lots of different kinds of foods and trying new things all the time - he isn't crazy about milk so we keep trying it - we are ready to wean him from nursing but i think it is going to be a slow process. At his 12 month check up he weighed 19lbs 10oz (10th percentile), was 29 3/4 inches long (between the 25th and 50th percentile) and had a head circumference of 18 inches (a little above 50th percentile) so our little man is growing like a weed - a slim weed haha! He is such a precious gift and we are thankful for his fun loving, energetic, intense, sweet personality. He has been such a good boy lately - obeying, being a trooper when we are out and about, playing so well by himself and with others, and has really turned into a snuggle bug - especially with his momma! We are treasuring these times together! Thanks so all who made his first birthday so special!
